Mental Health Resources for Families
WVVA Supports Mental Health
West Virginia Virtual Academy is excited to partner with the Cook Center for Human Connection to offer a valuable new resource for families, educators, and caregivers aimed at bolstering student mental health.
ParentGuidance.org is an online platform offering round-the-clock support and resources to enhance mental wellness and self-care among children, thereby strengthening the essential human connections within school communities.
ParentGuidance.org provides an array of tools to empower families and support the mental health needs of children, including:
- Regular one-to-one coaching sessions with cognitive behavioral health coaches
- On-demand parenting sessions led by licensed therapists
- A dynamic “Ask a Therapist” forum for frequently updated questions and answers
All services provided by ParentGuidance.org are confidential, and thanks to a three-year partnership between the West Virginia Department of Education and the Cook Center for Human Connection, these resources are FREE to all West Virginia families.
