Welcome to West Virginia Virtual Academy (WVVA)

Since our founding in 2022, WVVA has fostered a culture of excellence for grades K–12. We provide a personalized, innovative learning experience for every student. With a student body of approximately 1,900 students, we work closely with families to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. WVVA is proud to offer a cutting-edge, standards-based curriculum that meets the needs of today’s learners and prepares them for tomorrow’s opportunities.

  • CTE programs: Students can explore high-demand careers starting in grade 6 and earn certifications starting in grade 9.

Socialization and Clubs

  • Virtual Socialization: Students can connect with peers by playing virtual games and more in our online hang-out zone, which teachers monitor.
  • In-Person Socialization: Students have opportunities to attend field trips, prom, graduation, gatherings throughout the state, and more.

We empower students to reach their full potential, prepare them for their chosen career or postsecondary education path, and equip them to positively impact their communities and the state of West Virginia.
