The TechBridge Career Program offers West Virginia Virtual Academy (WVVA) students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on skills and training while in high school. About the Program
The TechBridge Career Program allows students to enroll simultaneously in WVVA and a career and technical center in West Virginia. It provides a comprehensive educational experience by combining academic coursework with hands-on vocational training, equipping students with the expertise to excel in their chosen profession.

Students acquire valuable practical skills and training in diverse fields like technology, healthcare, and trades. This hands-on experience prepares them for real-world careers, boosts their employability, and provides a competitive advantage in the job market.
Students will also have access to academic advisors, career counselors, and instructors who provide guidance and support throughout their enrollment, helping them navigate both academic and vocational challenges.
To be eligible, students must:

- Have reliable transportation

How to Apply
The application process consists of four steps:
- Complete an interest application and attend an informational meeting.
- Meet minimum eligibility requirements.
- Submit required documents, such as proof of residency and academic transcripts (as determined by the cooperating tech center).
- Participate in interviews and drug testing programs, depending on the location.

Can I attend a high school Career Technical Education (CTE) program as a part of the TechBridge Program?
Yes. In many instances, CTE programs such as Agriculture Education, ProStart, and ROTC, among others, are not part of a tech center but part of a comprehensive high school. These programs could be part of the TechBridge Career Program options.
Can I tour the career and technical center before applying?
Yes, tours are highly recommended. Touring the center allows you to see the facilities, meet instructors, and better understand the programs offered. Candidates are responsible for scheduling their own tours.
Does WVVA provide transportation?
No, students are responsible for their own transportation. Please plan accordingly, as some programs may have locational placements outside the tech center.
