Welcome to West Virginia Virtual Academy

As head of school for West Virginia Virtual Academy (WVVA), I want to personally welcome you to the WVVA family and provide some additional insight about our school.

West Virginia Virtual Academy uses an innovative model to provide students with the best education possible. Our unique educational approach allows us to tailor an education to each learner’s specific abilities and needs. As a statewide virtual school, our “doors” are open to ALL West Virginia students in grades K–12.

When you begin at WVVA, you enroll in more than a school program. Walking through our virtual doors, you’ll immediately see a school program devoted to you and your student. Our West Virginia-certified teachers monitor student progress, attendance, and content mastery while providing professional insight, instruction, and support. To provide the best experience, we encourage families to communicate with teachers often; our staff is eager to get to know you and your student’s individual needs.

At WVVA, we know that choosing the right educational setting for your child is not a decision to be taken lightly. We provide students with opportunities to flourish and believe in thinking differently, inspiring students, and partnering with local communities.
